STUDY 03 / Living spaces
Room to live a little more.
A living room that borrows its sense of space from the outdoors. Low forms, tactile fabrics, and a generous view make room for everyday life.

FSFRESH STARTCONCEPT NOTES
Could the view become part of the room, rather than just its backdrop?
Leave space for the life around it.
We keep the furniture low and the center of the room easy to read. The desert landscape supplies much of the color, so the interior can stay quiet. Soft upholstery, timber, and mineral surfaces give the room enough depth without competing with the view. The aim is an inviting place to linger, not a room arranged only to be looked at.
ON THE STUDIO TABLE
The landscape, brought gently inside.
Smoked timber anchors the room. Pale stone and chalk lift it; boucle and a trace of olive echo the softness and color of the garden.

THE ART OF CHOOSING
Every decision,
with a reason.
A low sofa and a grounded timber table frame the opening to the courtyard. The room reads in layers: soft foreground, open threshold, living landscape.
Keep the view open.
Choose a low visual center so furniture supports the view instead of cutting across it. A taller element can sit at the edge of the composition.
Repeat, rather than match.
Carry similar warm tones between indoor stone and outdoor paving. A relationship is more interesting than an exact repetition of every material.
Make movement feel natural.
Imagine the route between seats, doors, and adjacent rooms before arranging objects. The spaces between pieces are part of the design.
